Delaware Court Dismisses GM Defect Shareholder Suit

Delaware Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock dismissed a shareholder lawsuit against General Motors Co. over last year’s ignition switch recalls, signaling a positive outlook for the company as it stares down hundreds more cases in connection with the recalls.

On the immediate horizon are two derivative lawsuits pending in state and federal courts in Michigan, as well as a securities class action which GM has moved to dismiss.
