Chamber Noted As Leader in Arbitration Fight

As the battle over arbitration rumbles on into the fall, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Institute for Legal Reform were noted as leading the fight, in a story in  POLITICO.

After the CFPB unveiled its anti-arbitration rule, the Chamber has been aggressively “issuing dire warnings about trial lawyers suing companies out of existence to line their own pockets.” POLITICO says the CFPB rule is another stop in a long-running battle over arbitration that dates back to a 2011 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that found the Federal Arbitration Act pre-empted state laws.

The House of Representatives has already voted to overturn the rule. That resolution now sits before the Senate.
