Closing arguments are scheduled Monday in a California lawsuit seeking up to $2.5 billion in cleanup costs from lead paint manufacturers, the Wall Street Journal ($) reports. Similar ‘public nuisance’ suits have been dismissed by courts around the country, but California courts have allowed this suit to proceed. The judge is expected to issue a ruling by the end of the year.
