BP Submits Evidence in Bid to Remove Gulf Oil Spill Administrator

BP has filed a memo in U.S. District Court, containing copies of emails and billing records, that the company says show that Gulf Oil Spill Claims Administrator Patrick Juneau “worked against BP prior to being selected to oversee oil spill claims as a neutral administrator.”

BP is seeking to have Juneau removed from his position as administrator.

The new filing is backup to BP’s call in September to remove Juneau, claiming that he hadn’t disclosed is 2010 work in representing the state of Louisiana in “talks over oil spill claims payments.” The company also accused Juneau of his previous work on behalf of oil spill claimants.

Juneau is expected to respond in court as early as today.
