Abbott views tort reforms as good for Texas business

Texas continues to draw businesses from California with its pro-business climate and increasingly because of its tort reform efforts, Gov. Greg Abbott said Wednesday.

Businesses “are trying to escape a legal system that has grown completely out of control, and they’re coming to a place where those reforms to our legal system were instituted decades ago, where Texas is lifted up as a model for how the legal system is supposed to work,” Abbott said while addressing the Rotary Club of San Antonio.
