The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s 15th Annual Legal Reform Summit, which commenced yesterday in Washington, DC, featured a full day of panels discussing the pressing legal issues of the past year, and was highlighted by a keynote address from Gov. Chris Christie (NJ).
According to an article on Business Week, Christie’s keynote address focused on an “agenda of lowering taxes, reining in regulation, restricting class-action lawsuits, and battling teachers’ unions.” Christie’s statement that he was “convinced that the next president of the United States is going to be a governor, and it needs to be,” also garnered media attention from NBC, Politico and The New York Times.
The day’s panel discussions covered a range of topics including attorney fraud, the TCPA and social media liability.
