ILR's 9th Annual Legal Reform Summit will feature panel discussions on:

- The public’s stake in preserving pre-dispute arbitration provisions in contracts
- Parameters of federal preemption
- The challenge of discovery abuse in federal and state court
- Emergence of alliances between U.S. plaintiff lawyers and foreign NGOs
- Congressional landscape post election
Tom Donohue, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will deliver the luncheon address on the future of legal reform. Awards will be given to individuals and groups that have made outstanding contributions to the legal reform movement.

ILR hosted a fundraiser for the dry cleaners who were victims of the frivolous $54 million pants lawsuit.
This suit has cost the Chungs dearly in terms of defense costs, years of stress and time away from their family and business. Although the judge ruled that the plaintiff must pay their legal costs, it will likely be years before they see anything, and then only a fraction of their actual legal defense costs.
